By installing, accessing, or using DevTraceShield - DevTools Logger ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

DevTraceShield is a Chrome browser extension that captures and logs Chrome DevTools data locally on your device. The Extension provides debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for web developers and IT support teams.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for your personal or internal business purposes.

Free Version

  • Limited to single-tab monitoring
  • 500 log limit with 24-hour retention
  • Basic console logging only
  • JSON export format only

Pro Version ($48 one-time purchase)

  • Unlimited logs and multi-tab monitoring
  • All 5 logging tiers including network requests
  • Advanced export formats
  • Priority support

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
  • Not use the Extension to collect data from websites you do not own or have permission to monitor
  • Not circumvent or attempt to circumvent any license restrictions
  • Keep your license key confidential and not share it with others

5. Privacy and Data Collection

The Extension processes all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your debugging data. For complete details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension and all related materials are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not remove any proprietary notices from the Extension.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY

We do not warrant that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE
  • BUSINESS INTERRUPTION

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRO LICENSE, IF ANY.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Extension
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license immediately without notice if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Extension and destroy any copies in your possession.

11. Updates and Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Third-Party Services

The Extension may interact with third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services.

13. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Extension and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

20. License Compliance

Pro licenses are validated through our licensing service. Any attempt to circumvent license validation may result in termination of your license without refund.
